Black Velvet [Feature Film]

Etherworx Films was tapped to spearhead the cinematography for the independent feature Black Velvet. A gritty tale of two women defending their bar against local rivals, the script required a distinct visual identity. Lead DP Tem' immediately set to work, developing a comprehensive color story and camera language to translate the narrative into a cohesive visual strategy.

Over a demanding 12-day shoot, our dedicated crew—including a second DP, operators, gaffer, grips, and DIT—navigated a complex range of genres. We captured everything from intimate romantic beats to high-octane gunfights and corporate espionage. Beyond principal photography, Etherworx Films managed the entire post-production pipeline, including editing, color grading, and VFX. Black Velvet premiered in Atlanta in August 2025 and has since secured US and international distribution on Apple and Amazon, with a limited theatrical release scheduled for later this year.
