Black Velvet (Feature Film)

After successfully producing projects for major streaming services, Etherworx Films was approached to handle the cinematography for the independent feature film, Black Velvet. The film tells the story of two women who must defend their bar against local business rivals. Our lead cinematographer and Director of Photography, Tem', immediately began developing a detailed color story, storyboard, and camera language to align with the script's vision.

Our dedicated crew included a second DP, camera operators, a gaffer, grips, and a DIT, who collectively worked through 12 days of diverse shooting conditions and styles. From romantic scenes to action-packed gunfights and corporate espionage, our team masterfully captured the film's essence. Beyond cinematography, Etherworx Films was responsible for the edit, color grade, and VFX, ensuring a cohesive final product. Black Velvet premiered in Atlanta in August 2025 and has already secured US distribution on platforms like Apple and Amazon, with a limited theatrical release planned for later in the year.
